The Hill suits some trips and not others
A good fit if
You want quiet and privacy. You're happy to self-cater at the shared poolside kitchen, or eat out in the village. You're six to a chalet, or eighteen across all three. You don't mind stairs.
Probably not if
You want resort service or a restaurant on site. You're bringing a pet, we allow none. Stairs are difficult for someone in your party, and there's no luggage service. You were hoping to order in; Grab Food barely reaches here.
Booking
What kind of place is The Hill?
Three private chalets on a hillside, not a big hotel: no reception desk, no room service, just the grounds shared between whoever's staying.

What does it cost?
From RM350 a night for a couple on a weekday. A full chalet of six is RM600 weekday, RM900 Friday and Saturday. Breakfast is included. Rates shown are for adults; child rates are lower. Full rates are on the Rates page.
Is there a minimum stay?
No. You're charged for exactly the nights you book, whether that's one night or a week.
Can we come to look without booking?
No. Non-paying guests may not use the facilities or enter without permission.
Is there a deposit?
RM300 per chalet as a damage deposit, refunded by transfer within 4 days.
The place
How cold does it get?
Usually mid to high 20s in the day, though it can push past 30 on a hot one, dropping to about 19°C at night. Bring a light jacket.
Is there aircon and Wi-Fi?
Yes to both, in every chalet.
Is there food on site?
Breakfast is included: a hearty nasi lemak bungkus, plus cereal and milk kept in the fridge. Beyond that you self-cater at the poolside kitchen, order catering in advance, or eat out. Village food needs a minimum of 10 people, and the BBQ set is RM690 for 8 to 10 with a week's notice.
Is pork allowed?
No. Pork is not allowed at The Hill.
How deep is the pool, and is it always clear?
4 feet, with a 2 foot kiddie pool alongside. Open 24 hours. It runs on underground water, so it's occasionally not perfectly clear.
How big is the property?
The Hill hasn't confirmed the exact acreage yet. Ask when you book and it will confirm.
Getting here
How far is it from KL?
About 45 minutes via the Karak Highway, outside peak traffic. Allow an hour if you're leaving on a Friday evening.
Where do we park?
Inside the property, two cars per chalet. Please reverse park. More can be arranged in advance, otherwise park on the road.
Can we get food delivered?
Grab Food is extremely limited here. Shop on the way at Agro Bazaar Rakyat or the Bukit Tinggi minimarts, or use the poolside kitchen.
Will we have phone signal?
Yes, signal is good, and Wi-Fi is also available on site.
Events
How is event pricing worked out?
There's no fixed price per pax. The Hill quotes each event based on headcount, date and what you need, over WhatsApp.
How many guests can the grounds hold?
The open ground is 3,500 sq ft. The Hill will confirm a comfortable headcount for your layout when you enquire.
Can guests stay overnight for an event?
Yes, up to eighteen across the three chalets. Day-only events don't need to book a chalet at all.
Is catering available?
The pre-marinated BBQ set feeds 8–10 with 7 days' notice, or local village food for 10 or more, arranged directly. Guests may also self-cater or bring their own caterer.
Rules
Can we add people beyond six per chalet?
A seventh on a floor mattress, arranged in advance so bedding and breakfast are ready. Turning up with more can mean being refused check-in, or charged without breakfast or bedding.
Are children welcome?
Yes. For booking, a child is 12 and under. Children must not be left unattended at the pool. A baby cot is RM50 a night.
Pets?
No pets, strictly.
Are there stairs?
Yes, between the parking, pool and kitchen and the chalets, and there's no luggage-carrying service. It may not suit anyone unsteady on their feet.
Can we cook in the chalet?
No. Use the poolside kitchen. Raw meat and vegetables must not go in the chalet fridge, it forfeits the deposit.
Can we smoke?
Not in the room or kitchen. The chalet balcony and the BBQ area are fine.
What about fireworks?
Not allowed, they scare the animals. A fine is imposed.
